Why “Mustard Seed”
The name comes from the parable of the mustard seed — the smallest of seeds that grows into a tree birds can nest in. Dan Sandlin started this company on that idea: do small things faithfully and they become something bigger than you'd believe. It's on our logo, and it's how we work.
Who shows up to your job
Dan. That's not a figure of speech — the owner quotes the work, runs the work, and walks the yard with you when it's done. When you call (865) 850-3940, you're calling the person who will actually be standing in your yard, not a dispatcher reading from a screen.
Our mission has been the same since the beginning: establish real relationships with clients while providing the highest quality of service — working as unto the Lord. Customers on our Facebook page recommend us at 100%, and the review we hear most often comes down to the same thing: he did what he said he'd do.
“Dan took the time to test our soil and work with it to bring the type of results we were looking for in our lawn. We will be working further with him in the Spring as he prepares our garden and patio area. Very pleased.”
— Elizabeth
How we work
- Test first, treat second. Thin lawns and struggling beds almost always trace back to soil. We test it before we recommend anything.
- Estimates are free and specific. You get a real scope and a real number, not a range that doubles later.
- Every job gets the walk-through. Work isn't finished until you've seen it with us.
“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” — Genesis 2:15
